About the Role
Baptist Health System in San Antonio is seeking a Pharmacy Resident for a position in Brownsville, Texas. This role is designed as a concentrated post-graduate training program in hospital pharmacy practice, operating under the general supervision of a licensed pharmacist and in accordance with the accreditation standards of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists.
The resident will engage in a comprehensive curriculum covering direct patient care, ambulatory patient services, drug information, drug use policy, and practice management. This position offers a unique opportunity to participate in structured practical experiences across clinical care areas, departmental administration, inpatient drug distribution, and continuous quality improvement. Residents will also assist in management and leadership activities, participate in pharmaceutical purchasing and inventory control, and help develop patient education programs for physicians, nurses, and other healthcare practitioners.
