Marathon TS is seeking a Personnel Vetting Support Specialist to drive critical support efforts for the Department of Defense (DoD). In this capacity, you will serve as a strategic partner to senior leadership, including the Director of Insider Threat & Personnel Security, helping to shape the future of personnel security processes and oversight.
This role is designed for a seasoned professional who thrives at the intersection of policy, research, and execution. You will be responsible for developing, revising, and coordinating complex policies regarding background investigations, adjudications, and continuous evaluation. Your work will directly influence how the DoD manages risk and ensures the integrity of its workforce, with a specific focus on initiatives like Trusted Workforce 2.0.
Your day will be a dynamic mix of high-level strategy and detailed execution. You will draft and review up to 40 policy memorandums annually, ensuring they are grammatically precise and aligned with DoD standards. A significant portion of your time will be dedicated to research, analyzing laws, regulations, and Executive Orders to produce white papers and briefing materials that inform decision-making.
You will frequently present findings to stakeholders, delivering approximately 20 visual and oral presentations each year. This involves leading or participating in working groups focused on critical areas such as Suicide Prevention and Portfolio Performance. Additionally, you will manage the logistical and administrative aspects of key engagements, coordinating cross-functional integration across physical, personnel, industrial, and information security domains.
