Are you a culinary professional seeking a career path that offers superior work-life balance and growth opportunities beyond the typical constraints of a sous chef or line cook role? This full-time personal chef position is designed for those who value consistency, offering a Monday through Friday schedule from 8 am to 6 pm, ensuring your evenings and weekends remain free.
In this role, you will serve as a personal chef for 8–9 clients weekly, managing the entire culinary experience from grocery shopping and meal planning to cooking and kitchen cleanup. This position allows you to showcase your creativity across a variety of cuisines while building meaningful relationships with clients who deeply appreciate your expertise. Beyond standard meal preparation, you will have the opportunity to host intimate private dining events, teach cooking classes, lead corporate team-building workshops, and support special projects like menu design and event catering.
What sets this role apart from traditional restaurant kitchens is the freedom from regular late nights and weekends, combined with direct client interaction and creative menu autonomy. We invest in our chefs through hands-on training, mentorship, and career development programs. If you enjoy taking initiative and driving growth, this role offers virtually unlimited potential to evolve from a personal chef into an event chef or culinary leader.
At our company, we value hard work, creativity, and dedication. We have established a clear pathway for financial advancement, including performance-based raises at the one-year mark. We reward exceptional performance and innovation, ensuring that your contributions are recognized and compensated.
Qualified applicants should possess a minimum of four years of line experience, a sense of urgency, strong people skills, and attention to detail. A ServSafe Manager certification and state-specific Allergen certification are required, along with a reliable vehicle. Familiarity with computer systems, email, Google Workspaces, and social media is preferred. All applicants will be subject to a background check, and we utilize E-Verify to confirm employment eligibility. Travel may be required during training, which is fully compensated.
A cover letter is highly encouraged. The interview process includes a 15-minute fit call, a video interview, a bench test where you will cook a meal (with reimbursement), and a paid full-day stage.
We are an equal opportunity employer committed to building a diverse and inclusive team.
