Are you a culinary professional seeking a career path that offers superior work-life balance and growth opportunities beyond the typical constraints of a sous chef or line cook role? This full-time personal chef position is designed for those who value their evenings and weekends, operating on a consistent Monday through Friday schedule from 8 am to 6 pm.
In this role, you will serve as a personal chef for 8–9 clients weekly, managing the entire culinary experience from grocery shopping and meal planning to cooking and kitchen cleanup. You will have the creative freedom to showcase your expertise across a variety of cuisines while building meaningful relationships with clients who deeply appreciate your culinary skills.
Beyond standard meal preparation, this position offers a unique opportunity to expand your professional horizons. You will host intimate private dining events and dinner parties, teach cooking classes as a culinary instructor, and lead corporate team-building workshops. Additionally, you may support special projects such as menu design and event catering, allowing you to grow into a private chef, event chef, or culinary leader.
What sets this role apart from traditional restaurant kitchens is the elimination of regular late nights and weekends, coupled with direct client interaction and creative menu autonomy. We invest heavily in our chefs through hands-on training, mentorship, and structured career development programs. If you enjoy taking initiative, building relationships, and driving growth, this role offers virtually unlimited potential for advancement.
Our company culture is built on rewarding hard work, creativity, and dedication. We believe in recognizing exceptional performance with a clear pathway to financial advancement, including well-deserved raises at the one-year mark contingent upon favorable evaluations. We value innovation and exceeding expectations, ensuring that your contributions are recognized and rewarded.
The interview process is designed to assess both your fit and your culinary skills. It begins with a 15-minute fit call, followed by a video interview. Candidates will then complete a bench test where they cook a meal (with reimbursement provided), and finally, a paid full-day stage to demonstrate their capabilities in a real-world setting.
A cover letter is highly encouraged when applying. Please note that all applicants offered a position will be subject to a background check, and we utilize E-Verify to confirm employment eligibility. Travel may be required during the training phase, which is fully compensated by the company.
