About the Role
As a Personal Services Assistant at Friendship Village of Bloomington, you will be at the center of delivering meaningful, personalized experiences for our residents. This role exists to help residents maintain their dignity and well-being through daily personal care and support. You will partner with registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, and therapy personnel to execute home health care plans, ensuring a safe and healthful environment.
Your day will involve assisting residents with personal hygiene, bathing, dressing, and grooming, as well as managing vital signs and bowel/bladder care. You will play a key role in nutrition by planning and preparing meals, and support physical well-being by assisting with ambulation and exercise. Additionally, you will aid in medication management and rehabilitative processes as directed by the medical team, reporting any challenges to the registered nurse to ensure continuous, high-quality care.
