We are seeking a Peer Support Specialist to join our team, bringing your lived recovery experience to support individuals receiving mental health services. This community-based role is designed to provide peer mentoring, advocacy, and linkage to resources, helping clients build skills, independence, and hope.\n In this position, you will collaborate closely with clinicians and community partners to model recovery and promote empowerment. Your day-to-day work involves providing one-on-one and group peer support services, assisting clients in developing recovery plans and coping strategies, and facilitating recovery-focused groups and workshops. You will play a vital role in connecting clients with community resources, advocating for their needs, and reducing barriers to care, all while supporting crisis prevention and de-escalation under clinical guidance.
Interested candidates should submit their application including their Certified Peer Support Specialist credential (or state-recognized peer certification) and documentation of their lived experience with mental health or substance use recovery. Klamath Basin Behavioral Health (KBBH) operates as a private, non-profit organization dedicated to mental health care in Klamath Falls, Oregon.
