Outreach is seeking a dedicated Peer Counselor (CRPA) to join the REACT team. This full-time position is designed to provide compassionate peer recovery support, leveraging shared life experiences to guide clients through their recovery journeys. The role exists to bridge the gap between clinical treatment and community life, helping individuals develop sustainable recovery plans and connect with essential resources.
In this position, you will work alongside clients both onsite and in the community. Your day-to-day involves assisting clients in creating personalized recovery plans, documenting services in Electronic Health Records, and acting as a liaison between clients and the broader treatment team. You will support participants through pre-crisis and crisis situations, teach recovery skills, and facilitate transitions between different levels of care. Additionally, you will help participants navigate benefits, entitlements, and community supports, ensuring they have access to housing, transportation, childcare, and food resources.
The ideal candidate embodies the agency's mission and values, interacting with clients, staff, and visitors with courtesy, professionalism, and respect. Flexibility is key, as you may need to adapt to evolving situations, manage competing demands, and maintain appropriate ethical boundaries while seeking supervision when challenges arise.
