Lifeline Connections is a community-based behavioral health organization dedicated to providing confidential and compassionate care to individuals experiencing substance use and/or mental health conditions. As the premier provider of these services in the Pacific Northwest, we are committed to being the most trusted resource for behavioral health treatment and whole-person care.
Our mission is to inspire hope and support lifesaving changes for those affected by these conditions through superior customer service, high-quality programs, and a dedicated staff. We foster enduring relationships and empower our communities to truly thrive.
As a Peer Counselor within our Homeless Outreach and Stabilization Team (HOST) in Clark County, you will serve as a vital bridge for the most vulnerable individuals in our community. This role is designed for those living with serious substance use disorders or co-occurring conditions who are experiencing homelessness and face barriers to accessing conventional behavioral health services.
Drawing on your own lived experience and recovery journey, you will provide peer counseling, mentorship, and support to validate patients' experiences and encourage active participation in their own recovery. You will act as a cultural interpreter for the clinical team, helping them better understand and empathize with the unique subjective experiences of patients. Your presence helps combat stigma, promotes patient self-determination, and ensures that every patient's voice is respected in their treatment planning. You will collaborate with the team to connect patients with mutual-help programs, advocacy organizations, and long-term services, ultimately working toward increased stability, housing, and health.
