OU Health is launching a NEW Pediatric Behavioral Health Center, scheduled to open in December 2026. This facility represents a significant expansion of our commitment to providing comprehensive care for children and families. The center will serve patients across outpatient, inpatient, and emergency department settings, ensuring that behavioral health services are accessible and integrated into the broader continuum of care.
As a Behavioral Health Therapist, you will provide essential therapeutic services to pediatric and adult patients under the direct supervision of an independently licensed professional. This role is designed for candidates who are passionate about delivering evidence-based interventions, including Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Interpersonal Therapy.
You will be a key member of a collaborative care team, conducting therapeutic interviews, psychosocial assessments, and risk evaluations to develop individualized care plans. Your day-to-day work involves facilitating therapy groups, connecting patients and families with community resources, and acting as a patient advocate for complex issues ranging from informed decision-making to crisis intervention. Utilizing trauma-informed care principles, you will help patients and families navigate mental health challenges, prevent relapse, and achieve meaningful recovery goals.
Candidates for this position should expect a start date after September 1, 2026, to align with the center's opening. All applicants must be at least 21 years of age. The hiring process includes the submission of two professional references and the completion of a Third-Party Statement Affidavit. Depending on your licensure level, you will also need to secure an active supervision contract with the applicable Oklahoma State Board.
OU Health is an equal opportunity employer dedicated to fostering a diverse and inclusive environment. We believe that a supportive culture is essential for both our staff and the patients we serve. We offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to provide peace of mind for you and your family, ensuring you can focus on delivering the highest quality of care.
