The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center is recruiting outstanding faculty to join the Division of Pediatric Pulmonology and Sleep Medicine at UT Southwestern and Children's Health Dallas. The Division provides comprehensive care through robust inpatient and outpatient programs, offering faculty opportunities to work in a collaborative, academic environment with a broad range of clinical, educational, and research activities.
This position offers a dynamic day-to-day experience spanning high-acuity inpatient coverage at Children's Health Dallas and specialized outpatient clinics. Faculty will manage consultations from the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit, tertiary-level NICU, and general services. The role includes supporting one of the nation's largest Cystic Fibrosis Centers and engaging with a comprehensive sleep program featuring a 24-bed sleep center across two campuses.
Clinicians will treat a diverse patient population in areas such as high-risk asthma, aerodigestive disorders, sickle cell disease, neuromuscular disease, primary ciliary dyskinesia, mechanical ventilation, and general pulmonology. Beyond patient care, the role involves active engagement in the education of residents, fellows, medical students, and nursing staff. The environment supports scholars with excellent resources for basic, clinical, or translational research, particularly for those with interests in rare lung diseases, pulmonary hypertension, or bronchopulmonary dysplasia.
Appointment rank will be commensurate with academic accomplishment and experience. Consideration may be given to applicants seeking less than a full-time schedule. This position is security-sensitive and subject to Texas Education Code 51.215, which authorizes UT Southwestern to obtain criminal history record information.
