Since 1886, the Children's Hospital of Michigan (CHM) has been dedicated to providing the highest quality of care to children and adolescents in a caring, efficient, and family-centered environment. As a proud member of the Detroit Medical Center (DMC), CHM is the first and largest children's hospital in the state. This 228-bed facility holds an international reputation in pediatric medicine, surgery, and research, training more pediatricians than any other facility in Michigan.
CHM engages in groundbreaking research that has long shaped the science of pediatric medicine and is ranked as one of America's best pediatric hospitals by U.S. News & World Report and Parent Magazine.
We are seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Pediatric Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (OMM) Consultant to join our inpatient team. This role is dedicated to providing OMM consultations for hospitalized pediatric patients across multiple units, including general pediatrics, newborn, neonatal, pediatric intensive care, and rehabilitation teams.
The ideal candidate will bring a patient-centered, holistic approach to managing complex inpatient conditions through osteopathic principles and manipulative techniques. You will partner with hospitalists, intensivists, surgical teams, and subspecialists to address a wide range of conditions, from gastrointestinal disorders and feeding challenges to neuromuscular issues and pain management. Beyond direct patient care, you will participate in interdisciplinary rounds, educate families and medical staff on OMM techniques, and contribute to the development of inpatient OMM protocols.
Join a mission-driven, nationally ranked children's hospital with a fantastic team of specialists. You will collaborate with world-class pediatricians and subspecialists across a full spectrum of care, with strong support for integrative care approaches. The role offers significant opportunities for academic involvement, quality improvement, research, and leadership in pediatric OMM.
