Medical City Children's Hospital is the flagship pediatric facility of the Medical City Hospitals network. As a 254-bed, award-winning tertiary care center, we deliver specialized pediatric care supported by a robust ecosystem of subspecialists, including pediatric surgery, orthopedics, neurosurgery, cardiology, and infectious disease. Our team operates alongside a full-service pediatric ED, a psychiatric hospital with dedicated pediatric services, and a comprehensive hematology-oncology program.
Located on the same campus as Medical City Dallas, our facility is unique in the DFW metroplex for offering comprehensive care for all ages under one roof, including a Level IV NICU and adult hospital. We are a high-acuity, high-volume environment where clinical excellence, innovation, and mentorship are core values.
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Director to join our growing Pediatric Hospital Medicine team. As a key leader in this dynamic setting, you will partner with the Regional Medical Director to enhance clinical quality, operations, and department strategy. This role is designed for a physician who values collaboration and is passionate about shaping the culture of pediatric hospital medicine.
You will play a pivotal role in physician onboarding, education, and development while maintaining a flexible clinical practice. The team manages a daily census of 20-30 patients in summer months and 30-50 in winter, supported by a collaborative model of physicians and APPs. You will work alongside exceptional subspecialists and participate in a rotation of paid home-based night call support. This position offers a unique opportunity to help shape the future of care for the children and families of North Texas.
