Pediatric Cardiac Intensivists of North Texas is seeking a physician to join their expanding team at Medical City Children's Hospital. The Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) is a dedicated 12-bed unit with a 7-bed overflow/stepdown area, situated alongside the largest Level IV NICU in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. The hospital's Congenital Heart Program performs over 250 cardiac surgical cases annually, in addition to pediatric electrophysiology and interventional catheterization cases. The facility serves a robust population of neonates with complex congenital heart disease and some adult patients, though it does not perform transplants.
Medical City Children's Hospital is a 254-bed, comprehensive, award-winning pediatric healthcare facility in Dallas, Texas. It holds the designation of a Level I PICU and Level IV Maternal facility, featuring a Maternal Fetal Institute and fetal surgery capabilities. This position offers a unique opportunity to practice in a high-volume, specialized environment. The role involves managing critically ill pediatric cardiac patients within a dedicated unit that supports a wide range of complex cases. The team covers a significant number of neonates with complex congenital heart disease, providing care that bridges the gap between neonatal and pediatric critical care.
