Key Responsibilities
- check_circleSchedule patient appointments via telephone or in person
- check_circleObtain and update patient demographics for new and established patients
- check_circleDistribute encounter forms and ensure completeness of signatures
- check_circlePromote the Patient Portal and discuss financial accounts with patients
- check_circleVerify insurance eligibility and secure referrals for HMO patients
- check_circlePull and organize patient charts for appointments and filing
- check_circleAccept payments, write receipts, and balance daily cash drawers
- check_circleCopy insurance cards and upload documents into the EMR system
Requirements
- verifiedHigh School Diploma or GED
- verified1+ years professional work experience
- verified3+ years customer service experience including 6 months clinical environment
- verifiedAssociate's Degree
- verified5+ years experience in admitting, financial counseling, patient registration, or related area
- verifiedProficient with Microsoft Office tools
- verifiedStrong verbal and written communication skills
- verifiedStrong customer service skills
- verifiedKnowledge of hospital policies and procedures
