The Pediatric Fluoroscopy Tech position within the Pediatric Radiology department is designed for imaging professionals who are either gaining experience in fluoroscopy or are experienced practitioners looking to specialize in this field. This role operates at Levels 1-2, determined by your experience, education, and licensure.
In this position, you will perform specialized, real-time imaging using fluoroscopy in invasive and operative environments. Your primary mission is to aid providers in the diagnosis, care, treatment, and surveillance of simple to complex conditions, defects, and diseases. You will be the partner to providers during image-guided procedures, ensuring that every step adheres to standardized protocols and the highest quality standards.
Your day will involve preparing patients for procedures by sterilizing areas, monitoring vital signs, and providing comfort while maintaining a strict sterile field. You will utilize highly specialized radiologic equipment to perform a diverse range of diagnostic and interventional procedures. Beyond the technical aspects, you will be a key communicator, responding to inquiries from patients and families with clear information regarding testing and result timelines. You will also collaborate with the broader OU Health team, including providers, to deliver exceptional patient-centric care.
This role offers opportunities for growth and leadership. You may support OU Health's academic partnerships by teaching students in the radiologic program, serving as a departmental preceptor to mentor new team members, and assisting with onboarding. Depending on department needs, you may also provide on-call clinical coverage outside of regular hours.
OU Health is an equal opportunity employer. We are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive environment where all team members can thrive.
