About the Role

This position offers a unique opportunity to perform pediatric and congenital adult echocardiography procedures in a dynamic environment. You will split your duties between the hospital and the pediatric echo clinic, performing routine scans and rotating between inpatient and outpatient settings. The role involves a high degree of autonomy, requiring you to maintain a high standard of medical ethics while utilizing cognitive sonographic skills to identify and record diagnostic images.

Your day-to-day responsibilities include taking rotational call for weeknights, weekends, and holidays, as well as traveling to outreach sites which may require driving, flying, or overnight stays. You will also play a key role in the department's growth by training and orienting new employees and sonography students. A specific focus of this role is to undergo training in fetal echocardiography, with a one-year timeline to complete the certification process.
