About the Role
The Payroll Supervisor will oversee and supervise the organization's payroll functions, ensuring pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations. This role is hands-on, directly managing all aspects of payroll to ensure timely and accurate semi-monthly processing of salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
You will respond to routine inquiries concerning payroll deductions, wage garnishments, and earning verifications, while ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, promotions, and changes to pay rates. The role involves preparing and maintaining accurate records and reports of payroll transactions, facilitating audits by providing necessary documentation, and working in conjunction with the Accounting department on payroll auditing.
Additionally, you will identify and recommend updates to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures, completing any necessary planning, project management, and communication to stay ahead of employee payroll needs.
