As a Payroll Clerk at The Village Main in San Marcos, Texas, you will serve as a vital link between our Fiscal Officer, Accounting, and Human Resources teams. Your work ensures the efficient and accurate operation of our payroll department, directly supporting the agency's ability to serve its community. You will handle bi-weekly payroll preparation for all employees, manage complex billing for taxes and insurance, and maintain critical financial records including cash journals and general ledgers.
This role is designed for someone who thrives on accuracy and teamwork. You will balance cash journals, reconcile accounts payable and receivable, and prepare bank deposits. The position requires a blend of independent initiative and collaborative spirit, as you will work closely with colleagues to assist others and maintain a safe, orderly, and professional environment. You will also be expected to travel to the bank and post office as needed for agency business.
