Patient Service Representative

About the Role

The Patient Service Representative (PSR) serves as a vital link in our administrative operations, working closely with families to uphold the culture of Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital (JHACH). This role is designed to support the daily flow of our healthcare delivery by interacting with physicians, clinical staff, and administrative teams. From accurate scheduling and registration to financial clearance, the PSR ensures a seamless experience for patients and their families.

In this position, you will be the first point of contact for many patients, greeting them warmly and answering telephone inquiries to enhance the overall customer experience. Your day will involve managing patient charts to ensure timely access to medical information while strictly protecting patient privacy. You will guide patients through the registration process, verify eligibility and authorizations, and handle check-in and check-out procedures to facilitate efficient throughput. Additionally, you will manage revenue cycle tasks, including entering charges and collecting payments, all while adhering to established organizational policies across multiple departments.

Work Schedule & Location

This is a casual, on-call position requiring 8 hours per week. The role is based in Brandon, FL, with the employee floating within the East Market area.
