Fresenius Medical Care is the largest provider of renal care products and services in the nation, serving over 200,000 patients across 2,600+ dialysis centers and 350+ research sites in North America. Our team of 70,000+ dedicated employees is committed to delivering state-of-the-art care, including advanced dialysis machines, pharmaceuticals, and the country's largest renal specialty laboratories. We are proud to be recognized as one of America's 'Most Loved Workplaces' by Newsweek.
This position serves as a vital member of the dialysis healthcare team, providing safe and effective dialysis therapy for patients under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse. You will be responsible for the setup and operation of hemodialysis machines, ensuring a safe and clean working environment, and actively supporting our commitment to the Quality Enhancement Program (QEP).
In this role, you will welcome patients, evaluate their vascular access, and initiate treatments according to prescribed orders. Your day-to-day involves monitoring patient responses, managing intradialytic problems, and ensuring accurate documentation of all treatment parameters. You will also play a key role in patient education regarding disease processes and treatment adequacy, while assisting in the training of new staff and maintaining strict infection control standards.
We believe in investing in our people. No prior dialysis experience is required; we provide 12 weeks of paid and structured training with an assigned Preceptor and Nurse Educator to ensure you are fully prepared. We offer competitive benefits including major holidays off and up to $4,400 in tuition reimbursement per calendar year. Our culture is built on a foundation of ethical business practices, customer service excellence, and a drug-free workplace.
Candidates must meet CMS-approved state and/or national certification requirements within the required timeline. Continued employment is dependent on the successful completion of our organization's dialysis training program and CPR certification. As a condition of employment, all candidates are required to take the Ishihara's Color Blindness test; however, failing this test does not automatically preclude employment, as the company will consider reasonable accommodations.
Fresenius Medical Care is an equal opportunity employer. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, parental status, national origin, age, disability, military service, or other non-merit-based factors. We strive to create an inclusive environment where every team member can thrive.
