This position serves as a vital bridge between clinical care and financial clarity for general dentistry patients. You will be the primary point of contact for discussing doctor-proposed treatment plans and associated costs with patients and their legal guardians. Your role ensures that patients fully understand their fiscal responsibilities, insurance coverage nuances, and available financing options, such as CareCredit, before treatment begins.
In this capacity, you will work closely with both administrative and clinical staff to ensure firm financial arrangements are made for patient care. The role involves reviewing dental records for proper coding using CDT codes, balancing day sheets, and managing patient accounts. You will also handle Medicaid pre-authorizations, prepare daily financial reports, and assist in scheduling same-day treatments and follow-up appointments. A key part of your day involves resolving patient concerns with empathy and professionalism, utilizing conflict resolution techniques to manage complaints and ensure a positive patient experience.
At Dental Depot, we are committed to providing accessible dental care while maintaining operational excellence. Our culture values accountability, accuracy, and a customer-oriented approach. We expect team members to treat patients, visitors, and co-workers with respect and courtesy at all times. We foster an environment where employees are encouraged to be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and adaptable to change.
Candidates must possess a valid driver's license, proof of valid vehicle insurance, and be willing to undergo an annual Motor Vehicle Record Check if operating company-owned vehicles or driving for business purposes. While no prior experience is necessary, a strong understanding of insurance frequencies, secondary insurance coordination, and CDT codes is required. Successful candidates will be expected to pass a bi-annual Dental Depot CDT codes test.
Please note that this position may require relocation to other Dental Depot clinics, either permanently or on a short-term basis, depending on office needs and management discretion. We are committed to compliance with all Dental Depot, OSHA, and HIPAA policies and procedures.
