About the Role

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) serves as a vital support partner to nursing staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care within a dynamic healthcare environment. This role is essential for maintaining a safe, organized, and welcoming unit atmosphere. While specific duties may vary depending on the assigned unit, the core mission remains consistent: to anticipate patient needs, facilitate smooth clinical operations, and contribute directly to positive patient outcomes.

In this position, you will work closely with Registered Nurses (RNs) to implement care plans, manage patient assessments, and maintain the physical environment. Your day will involve a blend of direct patient interaction—such as assisting with hygiene, mobility, and feeding—and critical administrative tasks like documentation and equipment maintenance. You will be the eyes and ears of the nursing team, ensuring that patient concerns are addressed promptly and that the unit remains ready for regulatory surveys at all times.
