Welcome to Continuing Care Hospital, a 25-bed long-term acute care facility located within CHI Saint Joseph Hospital. As part of CommonSpirit Health, a non-profit Catholic health system, we are dedicated to advancing health for all people. Our system serves 24 states through 140 hospitals and over 2,200 care centers, supported by approximately 175,000 team members and 25,000 physicians.
Continuing Care Hospital is proud to be a 12-time winner of the Kentucky Hospital Association Quality award and a 2024 Best Place to Work in Kentucky. Our mission is to serve the common good through clinical excellence and the dedicated work of our physicians, nurses, and staff.
As a Patient Care Assistant, you will be the backbone of patient comfort and safety. Your primary mission is to help patients feel safer and more comfortable by assisting with their basic daily life activities. Every day, you will directly support patients with personal hygiene, mobility, and feeding, while also acting as a vital extension of the nursing staff.
Your day involves more than just completing tasks; it requires a genuine desire to help patients feel better. Whether you are changing fresh bed linens, performing comfort rounds, or monitoring vital signs, your diligence and observant nature are crucial. You will be the first to notice if a patient's condition is improving or declining, reporting changes promptly to the RN. You will also manage unit housekeeping, ensuring a safe environment by responding to bed alarms, call lights, and maintaining clear hallways.
We are an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
