The Participant Advocate Supervisor serves as a critical leader within our facility, ensuring the safety, security, and well-being of all participants while maintaining a supportive and structured environment. Reporting to the Program Director and Assistant Program Director, this Full-Time, Non-Exempt role operates on the 3p-11p shift.
In this position, you will provide direct direction, training, and performance evaluation to the Participant Advocate team. Your day involves fostering a unified team culture by conducting monthly individual performance discussions to develop goals and address progress. You will oversee standard tasks to ensure high-quality, timely work, acting as the primary point of contact for maintaining order, cleanliness, and compliance with facility Rules and Regulations.
Your shift begins with a thorough facility check to identify any deficiencies before assuming full responsibility. Throughout the evening, you will monitor participant activities, including conducting safety checks such as metal detector screenings and searches of sleeping quarters and storage areas. You will maintain an accurate participant census, manage medication dispensing systems, and ensure all intake and incident paperwork—such as shift reports, MISILs, and medication logs—is completed accurately and on time.
Safety is paramount; you will be responsible for securing fire doors and escape exits, touring the building, and documenting security checks every 60 minutes. You will also manage the storage and disposition of belongings for discharged participants and serve as a liaison for participant communications, conveying critical observations to leadership to prevent potential issues. Your role requires balancing strict adherence to privacy standards with the ability to provide constructive feedback and support to both staff and participants.
Candidates selected for an interview will be required to undergo a criminal background check and clearance process. The role demands flexibility regarding emergency requests and schedule changes, and participation in all mandatory team meetings and training sessions is expected.
