Turning Points for Children (TPFC) is dedicated to supporting families in need through comprehensive community programs. The Food and Wellness Network (FAWN) serves as a critical pillar of this mission, providing essential food resources and wellness support to local families. This initiative operates through a network of pantries designed to ensure that no family goes hungry while fostering a supportive, dignified environment for all clients.
The Operations Coordinator serves as the vital on-site manager for the FAWN pantries, bridging the gap between organizational resources and community needs. Reporting directly to the FAWN Program Director, this part-time role is the heartbeat of daily pantry operations. You will be the first face clients see, guiding them through intake processes with empathy and efficiency while ensuring the pantry runs smoothly.
Your day will involve a dynamic mix of logistical coordination and direct community engagement. You will manage the flow of food and supplies, from weekly ordering and delivery acceptance to the careful breakdown of bulk purchases and the assembly of care packages for families. Beyond logistics, you will act as a volunteer manager, recruiting, training, and leading a team of community members who help stock shelves and staff the pantry. This position also requires you to maintain accurate data records, support social media efforts, and foster partnerships with local institutions to expand resources for our clients.
Candidates selected for an interview will be contacted by the FAWN Program Director to discuss their background and fit for the role. The process includes a review of relevant experience in hunger relief or social services and a conversation about your ability to thrive in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
