A warm, professional family in Philadelphia is seeking a dedicated after-school nanny and household manager for their two children: an 8-year-old girl and a 4-year-old boy. The household is active and structured, valuing a proactive and dependable caregiver who can seamlessly support both childcare and light household organization. While a Montessori background is a plus, the family is primarily looking for someone who can bring energy and consistency to their daily routine.
This position is designed to provide safe, engaging, and structured care immediately after school hours. The role focuses on creating a calm, child-friendly environment where the children can transition smoothly from school to home. You will be responsible for picking up both children from a nearby location and supervising them through active play and enrichment activities. In addition to childcare, you will assist with light meal preparation and help maintain an organized after-school routine. This is a local role with no travel required, offering a stable schedule from Monday to Friday, 2:30 PM to 6:30 PM, for 20 guaranteed hours per week.
The family offers a supportive work environment with a clear commitment to work-life balance. Compensation is $30–$35 per hour, and the package includes one week of vacation, two sick days, two personal days, and three paid holidays. The family seeks a self-starter with strong communication skills who thrives in a busy household and is comfortable with water activities.
Interested candidates should ensure they possess a valid driver's license with a clean record, CPR and First Aid certification, and are comfortable swimming. COVID vaccination is required. Please apply with your resume and a brief cover letter highlighting your relevant childcare experience and availability for the August 2026 start date.
