The Behavioral Interventionist (BI) is an entry-level position designed to work one-on-one in the home and/or community with youth who struggle with behavioral management to the degree it threatens the stability of their living situation. This role is critical for supporting families with varying levels of communication, parenting, organizational, and cleanliness skill sets.
As a BI, you will provide direct supervision and assist clients through daily responsibilities, activities, and living skills. You will use approved trauma-informed brain stimulating activities and intervention strategies to help youth achieve treatment goals outlined in their Individualized Behavioral Objective Plans. The role requires modeling positive behavior and effective problem-solving techniques while maintaining strong, open communication with caregivers and the client's professional team. You will be expected to continue case assignments regardless of family dynamics or home conditions, ensuring consistent support for the youth.
This is a part-time position with a schedule of afternoons, evenings, and/or weekends based in Lawrence, KS. Onboarding includes a paid, three-week training schedule for all staff, regardless of prior experience.
