This position serves as a vital link between our campus and the wider community, ensuring the safe transport of students and staff to off-campus events. Reporting directly to the Athletic Director, the Bus Driver is responsible for operating a 40-passenger school-owned vehicle with a focus on safety, punctuality, and professional conduct. The role requires a unique blend of driving expertise, emergency preparedness, and the ability to maintain a positive, disciplined environment for students during travel.
Your day involves executing assigned routes efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and bus regulations. You will conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, manage fuel levels, and ensure the vehicle remains clean and properly maintained. Beyond driving, you are expected to administer emergency first aid when necessary and report any incidents immediately according to department policy. The role demands flexibility to accommodate evening and weekend hours, as well as the ability to adapt to varied weather and road conditions while maintaining the highest degree of driving safety.

Candidates must meet specific minimum qualifications, including holding a valid Arizona CDL Class B with Passenger, School Bus, and Air Brakes endorsements, being at least 25 years old, and possessing a successful driving record for the past five years. Applicants must also be willing to complete Safe Environment Training prior to their start date and obtain a valid Arizona Department of Public Safety Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card. CPR training must be obtained within 60 days of hire.
