This direct service position is a vital component of the Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team, dedicated to providing specialized mental health care within the community. The role requires specific clinical knowledge and strong skills in crisis intervention and stabilization. As a team member, you will be expected to go out into the community to deliver services directly to consumers, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to support individuals who are mentally ill or chemically addicted (MICA).
Your day will involve active collaboration with Registered Nurses to administer intramuscular (IM) medications and prepare oral medications for weekly delivery. You will coordinate closely with team prescribers and pharmacies to ensure consumers receive timely medications and refills, while also transcribing orders and updating Medication Administration Records. Beyond clinical duties, you will assist with monthly IM calendars, log medication deliveries, complete toxicology request forms, and contribute to annual nursing assessments and daily progress notes. Additionally, you will lead weekly Healthy Living groups to support consumer wellness.
As part of the ACT team, you will participate in daily morning meetings and work under the direction of the Team Leader to achieve program goals. This role is designed for a clinician who thrives in a team environment and is passionate about serving the MICA population.
