About the Role
As a Part-Time Container Delivery Driver, you will be the face of PODS at customer locations, responsible for the safe and efficient delivery and pickup of storage containers. This role is essential to ensuring our customers receive a seamless experience, combining operational precision with excellent customer rapport. You will operate a commercial truck equipped with a patented lift mechanism, handling everything from loading and unloading to coordinating rental paperwork and resolving on-site questions.
Day in the Life
Your day begins with a thorough pre-trip inspection of your commercial vehicle and lift, ensuring all safety protocols are met before hitting the road. You will navigate to customer sites using company handheld computers for verification, operating the truck's specialized lift to deliver or retrieve containers. Throughout the shift, you will maintain the cleanliness of the truck cab and inspect containers to ensure they are presentable. If issues arise, you will coordinate directly with customers or communicate with the Driver Lead and Market Manager to resolve them. The role also involves performing minor field repairs on containers and lifts, and occasionally providing backup support for storage center functions.
