Part-Time Opportunity
Join our team as a Part-Time Container Delivery Driver, earning $21.00 per hour. In this role, you are responsible for the safe delivery and pickup of containers to and from customer locations. Your primary focus is ensuring an incident-free operation while maintaining excellent rapport with our customers.
About the Role
You will drive and operate a commercial truck equipped with a patented lift mechanism to load and unload containers at customer sites. Safety is paramount; you must strictly follow all safety rules while navigating various locations. Your day involves performing and logging daily pre- and post-trip inspections of both the commercial vehicle and the lift system.
Beyond driving, you will coordinate rental paperwork and payments directly with customers, using a company handheld computer for delivery verification and navigation. You may also be required to operate a forklift or overhead crane, clean and inspect containers to ensure they are presentable, and perform minor repairs on containers and lifts in the field or at the storage center. Additionally, you will maintain the cleanliness of the truck cab and provide backup support for storage center functions when needed.
Hiring Process
Successful candidates must be at least 21 years of age and possess a valid CDL Class B License without air brake restriction. You must meet PODS Driver Qualification Standards and hold a current Medical Examiner's Certificate (or be able to obtain a 1-year certification as required by the DOT). A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Selected applicants must be able to attend the required 2-week New Hire Driver Training Program.
