About the Role
This part-time position is responsible for the delivery and pickup of containers to and from customer locations. The role focuses on providing an effective, incident-free service while maintaining excellent rapport with customers. You will operate a commercial truck equipped with a patented lift mechanism to safely load and unload containers, ensuring they are presentable upon delivery.
Day in the Life
Your day involves driving and operating a commercial truck with a patented lift mechanism to load and unload containers at customer sites. You will perform and log daily pre- and post-trip inspections of the commercial vehicle and lift, ensuring all safety rules are followed. The role requires using a company handheld computer for delivery verification and navigation, as well as operating a forklift and/or overhead crane when necessary.
You will coordinate rental paperwork and payments with customers and communicate with the Driver Lead or Market Manager regarding any customer questions or issues. Additional responsibilities include performing repairs of containers and lifts in the field and at the storage center, providing backup for storage center functions when needed, and maintaining the cleanliness of the truck cab.
