Part-Time CDL Driver - Class B

About the Role

As a PODS Driver, you are the face of our company at customer locations. Your primary mission is to ensure the safe, efficient, and incident-free delivery and pickup of containers. You will operate a commercial truck equipped with a patented lift mechanism, handling the entire process from loading and unloading to coordinating rental paperwork and payments directly with customers. This role requires maintaining excellent rapport with clients while ensuring containers are clean and presentable.

Day in the Life

Your day begins with a thorough pre-trip inspection of your commercial vehicle and lift, followed by logging these checks. You will navigate to customer sites using a company handheld computer for verification, operating the truck's lift mechanism to load and unload containers safely. Throughout your route, you may accept add-on deliveries to meet business needs and perform minor repairs on containers or equipment in the field. Communication with the Driver Lead or Market Manager is key for resolving customer questions, and you will be expected to provide backup for storage center functions when necessary. The role also involves maintaining the cleanliness of the truck cab and performing post-trip inspections.

Hiring Process

Candidates selected for this position must be available to attend a required 2-week New Hire Driver Training Program. Successful completion of this training is a prerequisite for starting the role.
