This Paraprofessional position supports Early Childhood Inclusive (ECI) classrooms, working directly with young children to foster a safe, nurturing, and educational environment. The role is integral to the daily operations of the classroom, operating under the direction of the lead teacher to ensure students receive the individualized attention and support they need.
You will be an active participant in the classroom community, assisting with a wide range of activities from arts and crafts to self-care routines. The position requires close collaboration with students during transitions, field trips, and emergency drills, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. As a key member of the instructional team, you will help implement techniques designed by the teacher to support student learning and behavior.
This is a full-time, non-exempt classified position scheduled from August through May, aligning with the student session. The role reports directly to the Building Principal and operates on a 10-month schedule, working 7.00 hours per day, Monday through Friday. Compensation is administered consistent with the negotiated agreement or the Board adopted salary schedule.

Candidates must successfully complete a background check, verify U.S. citizenship or legal authorization to work in the United States, and provide proof of all necessary licenses and certificates, such as "Highly Qualified status" for paraprofessionals. Additionally, successful completion of a pre-employment drug test, tuberculosis skin test (if required), and a medical examination to confirm the ability to safely perform essential functions is mandatory.
