As a Paramedic with American Ambulance Central Florida, you serve as a critical first responder, delivering both emergency and non-emergency ambulance operations. You will partner with a partner unit to ensure safe and efficient patient care, utilizing excellent driving judgment to navigate public safety challenges while operating and positioning the ambulance.
Your day involves responding to assigned calls with speed and precision, quickly assessing scenes to determine the appropriate level of care and requesting additional resources when necessary. You will provide Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS) operations, diagnosing and treating patients using established protocols, clinical practices, and specialized equipment. Beyond clinical duties, you are responsible for maintaining thorough medical records, ensuring the unit is clean and fully stocked with fuel and fluids, and keeping crew quarters in lean condition.
