Paramedic EMT-P

About the Role

American Ambulance Central Florida is seeking dedicated Paramedics to join our team as a Federal Contractor. In this role, you will provide both emergency and non-emergency ambulance operations, working in conjunction with partners to ensure the highest standards of patient care and public safety. You will be responsible for responding to assigned calls in a safe, efficient, and appropriate manner, quickly assessing scenes, and requesting additional help when necessary.

Your day-to-day responsibilities include delivering Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS) operations. This involves diagnosing and treating patients using appropriate techniques, resources, and equipment, as well as managing patient assessment, packaging, and transport. Beyond clinical duties, you will maintain thorough medical records and transportation reports, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete.

Safety and preparedness are paramount. You will maintain a working knowledge of current EMT standards, equipment function, and local geography, including mapping and grid systems. You are expected to keep units and equipment clean, organized, and ready for immediate deployment, ensuring proper fuel, fluid, and tire pressure levels at all times. Additionally, you will maintain a professional demeanor, clean uniform, and positive interpersonal relationships with colleagues, EMS representatives, hospitals, and the public.
