About the Role
American Ambulance Central Florida is seeking dedicated Emergency Medical Technicians to join our team in providing critical emergency and non-emergency ambulance operations. As an EMT, you will serve as a vital link in the community's healthcare response, working in conjunction with partners to ensure safe and efficient patient care.
In this role, you will respond to assigned calls with a focus on safety and speed, assessing scenes and requesting additional resources when necessary. You will provide Basic Life Support (BLS) patient care in strict accordance with established procedures, local protocols, and clinical practices. Depending on the assignment, you may collaborate with Paramedics during Advanced Life Support (ALS) operations to manage patient assessment, packaging, and transport.
Beyond clinical duties, you will be responsible for maintaining the readiness of your unit and equipment, ensuring proper fuel, fluid, and tire levels, and keeping crew quarters in lean condition. You will also maintain thorough medical records and transportation reports while upholding a professional demeanor and positive relationships with colleagues, EMS representatives, hospitals, and the public.

Requirements

- verifiedState of Florida EMT Basic Certification
- verifiedCPR Certification (AHA BLS or Red Cross)
- verifiedEmergency Vehicle Operators Course (EVOC) if driver certified
