Presbyterian Healthcare Services is a locally owned, not-for-profit healthcare system founded in New Mexico in 1908. As the state's largest private employer, we are dedicated to improving the health of patients, members, and the communities we serve. Our organization includes nine hospitals, a statewide health plan, and a growing multi-specialty medical group.
Albuquerque Ambulance Services (AAS) is New Mexico's leading emergency medical response agency. Our Santa Fe-based operation features an ALS unit stationed at the Presbyterian Santa Fe Facility. This team provides northern New Mexico interfacility transfer (IFT) coverage through a critical care model. Unlike the high-intensity pace of 911 response, this role offers a slower, station-based environment within a supportive, family-oriented team culture.
We are seeking a skilled Paramedic to join our Santa Fe team as a vital part of our critical care unit. In this position, you will provide high-level care for injured and ill patients during inter-facility transportation. You will operate emergency vehicles safely in accordance with EVOC standards and maintain accurate medical records using the ImageTrend Elite charting system.
This role is designed for those seeking a change of pace who still want to advance their careers with a focus on clinical excellence. You will work in a family atmosphere where your growth and well-being are prioritized. The position offers a unique opportunity to enjoy the diverse landscapes and recreational opportunities of New Mexico while contributing to the community's health.
At AAS, we believe that how you grow, learn, and thrive matters. We support our field crews with on-site social workers and provide access to an onsite gym available 24/7, along with discounted citywide memberships. Our wellness program includes nutrition coaching, mindfulness resources, and wellness challenges.
We foster a culture of continuous improvement with in-house continuing education (CE) required for state licensure and National Registry requirements. Our Paramedic roles feature three experience-based levels, allowing you to promote and receive a raise as soon as you meet each benchmark—no additional applications or competition required.
To join our team, qualified candidates must be willing to obtain Flight Paramedic Certification (FPC) if not already held. The hiring process includes a physical abilities assessment and the completion of onboarding requirements, such as medical examiner certification and DOT certification.
We offer competitive sign-on bonuses ($4,000–$7,500) and relocation assistance ($3,500–$6,000) for eligible candidates. We invite you to apply and become part of a team that is determined to support New Mexico's well-being.
Presbyterian Healthcare Services is an AA/EOE/VET/DISABLED employer. We are a drug-free and tobacco-free organization with smoke-free campuses. We consider qualified applicants regardless of background, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or veteran status.
