Presbyterian Healthcare Services is a locally owned, not-for-profit healthcare system founded in New Mexico in 1908. As the state's largest private employer, we operate nine hospitals, a statewide health plan, and a growing multi-specialty medical group. Our mission is to improve the health of patients, members, and the communities we serve.
The Emergency Department at Rust Medical Center is a fast-paced, high-performing clinical environment dedicated to exceptional patient care. We foster a collaborative, team-centered setting that values communication, growth, and mutual support. Our culture is built on the belief that every voice matters and that your dedication makes a tangible difference in the lives of our community members.
As a Paramedic in our Emergency Department, you will become an essential part of a team committed to delivering life-impacting work. You will practice advanced skills within the State-approved scope, supporting nurses and providers in caring for patients with a wide range of emergency and urgent needs.
Your day will involve creating a safe, therapeutic environment while performing key patient care tasks, monitoring vital signs and cardiac rhythms, and maintaining accurate electronic documentation. You will play a vital role in patient flow, assisting with admissions, transfers, and coordinating with EMS to ensure smooth departmental operations. This role offers the opportunity to deepen your clinical expertise while contributing to a strong sense of camaraderie.
At Presbyterian, how you grow, learn, and thrive matters. We offer a robust support system including educational and career development options, tuition and certification reimbursement, and scholarship opportunities. We also provide malpractice liability insurance and access to loan forgiveness through the New Mexico Higher Education Department.
Our employees enjoy access to a unique wellness program featuring free on-site and community-based gyms, nutrition coaching, mindfulness resources, and wellness challenges. We are a drug-free and tobacco-free employer with smoke-free campuses, dedicated to the well-being of our team.
Sign-on and relocation bonuses are available for qualified candidates.
We have five levels for our Paramedic positions with natural promotions built in as you gain experience or accomplish educational goals, allowing you to promote without applying or competing.
