About the Role
We are seeking a specialized Palo Alto Firewall Engineer to secure network perimeter and internal infrastructure within the Oil & Gas domain. This onsite role in Houston, Texas, is critical for designing and managing security architectures that support upstream, midstream, and downstream operations, including refineries, drilling sites, and pipelines.
The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between IT and OT (Operational Technology) environments, ensuring robust security controls aligned with industrial network best practices. You will work directly with OT/ICS/SCADA teams to maintain strict network segregation while managing complex firewall ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleDesign, deploy, configure, and manage Palo Alto NGFWs including PASeries and VMSeries
- check_circleImplement and maintain security policies, NAT, routing, zones, and profiles
- check_circleManage Panorama for centralized firewall management and license administration
- check_circleHandle incident response, log analysis, and threat remediation activities
- check_circleSecure upstream, midstream, and downstream Oil & Gas network environments
- check_circleEnsure compliance with ISO 27001, NIST, and IEC 62443 standards
- check_circleProvide L3 support and mentor junior engineers on security infrastructure
- check_circleCoordinate with vendors and OEM support for firewall troubleshooting
- check_circleConfigure Threat Prevention, URL Filtering, WildFire, and application-aware security
- check_circleConfigure and maintain IPSec Site-to-Site and GlobalProtect remote access VPNs
- check_circleEnsure IT/OT network segregation and implement industrial security controls
- check_circleSupport audits, risk assessments, and vulnerability remediation efforts
