About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Network Security Engineer to lead a strategic initiative focused on optimizing encryption and decryption across approximately 80 Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFWs) utilizing Palo Alto Networks technology. This role is critical for implementing Palo Alto recommended best practices and executing complex configuration changes while collaborating closely with internal engineering resources.
The position demands deep expertise in Palo Alto firewall administration, SSL/TLS decryption policies, and network security architecture. You will work alongside Cloudflare and load balancing infrastructure teams to ensure secure and optimized traffic flow, troubleshooting complex issues involving encrypted traffic inspection. A key component of this engagement involves mentoring a junior engineer and assisting in the transition of operational ownership to a designated customer engineer being groomed for long-term management.
Work Environment & Location
This is a hybrid onsite role based in Plano, TX. Candidates are expected to be in the client office 2-3 days per week. Please note that this position is open to local candidates only.

Requirements
