About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic, technically strong, and forward-thinking Information Security Officer to lead our enterprise-wide Information Security Program. This role serves as the credit union's board-appointed Information Security Officer, responsible for the governance, strategy, architecture, and continuous improvement of our security program.
The ideal candidate will bring deep technical depth and leadership required to guide a modern defense-in-depth security environment. You will not just direct others from a distance; you will possess the hands-on fluency to personally evaluate configurations, review detection logic, and engage at the console level when needed. You will partner deeply with IT infrastructure, operations, applications, vendors, audit, and risk teams while communicating security strategy clearly to senior leadership and the Board.

Requirements
- verifiedBachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
- verifiedMinimum 7 years experience in information security or cybersecurity
- verifiedMinimum 5 years experience in technical leadership over enterprise security
- verifiedKnowledge of NCUA, FFIEC, GLBA, and related cyber risk guidance
- verifiedCISSP, CISM, CCSP, OSCP, or equivalent certification preferred
Nice to Have
MBA, MS in Cybersecurity, or other advanced degree. Financial institution, credit union, banking, fintech, or regulated industry experience. Prior people leadership or team leadership experience. Technical certifications in networking, cloud, endpoint security, firewall platforms, or security operations.
