About the Role

The Packer Technician is a vital support role designed to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our packaging machinery. Working alongside Operators and Apprentices, you will help set up, maintain, and run machines to produce high-quality products at target speeds. This position is essential for defining problem statements when issues arise and ensuring the auto-packer machine operates smoothly.

In this role, you will feed product into the gluer, pack finished goods into cases, and interface with electronic control panels to keep pace with high-speed equipment. You will also assist with the setup and troubleshooting of pack assists, case sealers, and labelers. A key part of your day involves maintaining a clean work environment in accordance with Food Safety and 5S systems, effectively utilizing machine downtime for setup or other maintenance tasks, and ensuring minimal downtime through proactive communication and situational awareness.

Location and Schedule

This position is located at the Amnicola Plant (2601 Riverport Rd, Chattanooga, TN 37406). The role operates on the Night Shift (Orange Team), running 3 days a week on a 12-hour schedule from 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM EST.
