The Packaging Supervisor (1st Shift) serves as a critical leader within the Packaging Department, ensuring the production of safe and high-quality food products in strict adherence to USDA guidelines. This role exists to bridge operational efficiency with safety compliance, overseeing the accurate, thorough, and safe execution of all departmental duties.
In this position, you will manage the daily rhythm of the packaging floor, creating and adjusting schedules to ensure timely completion of all packaging tasks. You will be responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment, enforcing self-inspection protocols, and ensuring that all team members adhere to company policies, safety manuals, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). As a leader, you will train new and existing employees, delegate responsibilities effectively, and analyze operational situations to provide solutions that benefit the company. You will also play a key role in maintaining accurate records and reports while managing inventory for packaging supplies.
Candidates for this position must be able to pass an assessment covering math and reasoning skills. The role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, stand for 8-9 hours, and work in temperatures of 40 degrees or less.
