The Patient Access Representative is a vital frontline role responsible for supporting departmental efficiencies and ensuring a seamless patient experience from pre-admission through discharge. You will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing world-class customer service while adhering to Conifer Standards of Care. This position requires a balance of administrative precision and empathetic communication, as you will manage patient registration, verify insurance eligibility, and secure necessary legal forms and authorizations.
In this fast-paced environment, you will navigate complex hospital workflows, interpret medical terminology and physician orders, and handle sensitive Protected Health Information. The role demands the ability to resolve patient issues professionally, even in high-volume situations or when dealing with uncooperative patients. You will play a key part in the financial integrity of the hospital by employing compliant collection techniques and ensuring accurate patient demographic and liability data.
