We are seeking a dedicated Health Unit Coordinator PRN to join our Emergency Department. In this role, you will represent the hospital in a professional and positive manner to all patients and visitors. You will serve as the first point of contact, welcoming patients and assisting with their needs while escorting guests to appropriate rooms and areas within the facility.
You will be the hub of communication and organization for the department, gathering admission information, managing paperwork, and maintaining daily hospital censuses and statistical reports. Your day will involve coordinating with providers, verifying insurance, and ensuring seamless patient transport documentation. This position requires the ability to multitask effectively under pressure while maintaining high standards of service in a fast-paced emergency environment.
