As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be an essential partner to the pharmacist, assisting in all aspects of medication preparation and distribution. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve preparing medications for distribution to automatic dispensing cabinets, repackaging drugs into unit-dose blister packs, and managing various medication inventory functions. Additionally, you will play a key role in patient care by participating in the documentation of medication histories at the point of admission.
To be considered for this position, candidates must hold a valid Rhode Island Pharmacy Technician II License. While a high school diploma is required, preference is given to graduates of a Pharmacy Technician Training Program. Essential skills include proficiency in math, typing, and computer usage.
This is a Per Diem position requiring availability for 6 shifts per month, including 2 weekend shifts.
