This position serves as a critical support pillar for all abdominal and thoracic transplant service lines. The role exists to ensure the seamless recovery, preservation, and transportation of solid organs and organ systems from donor hospitals to transplant centers. You will be the frontline responder to potential organ donor referrals, working closely with physicians to evaluate medical suitability and execute complex recovery procedures in high-stakes environments.
Your day-to-day involves traveling to donor hospitals via fixed-wing aircraft, helicopters, ambulances, or other medical transport modes. You will assist in preparing operating rooms, performing aseptic organ preservation techniques, and managing the intricate logistics of organ packaging and labeling in strict accordance with Organ Procurement & Transplantation Network (OPTN) policies. Beyond the operating room, you will play a key role in quality improvement initiatives, inventory management, and maintaining the highest standards of sterile technique and documentation.
We are driven by the SpecialtyCare values of Integrity, Teamwork, Care, and Improvement. In this role, you will demonstrate these values by collaborating with physicians, perfusionists, and clinical staff to support life-saving transplant procedures. You will be expected to communicate effectively with organizational partners and maintain a commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.
