As an Outside Sales Representative, you will drive growth by developing new prospects and nurturing relationships with established customers. This role is centered on selling Company products and customarily requires regular in-person interaction at customer sites or other off-location settings. Success in this position demands specific experience in electrical distribution.
You will be responsible for meeting or exceeding annual gross margin budgets within your assigned territory while adhering to company pricing policies. Your day-to-day involves handling customer complaints effectively, monitoring local competition and market conditions, and executing sales and merchandise programs. You will also maintain accurate customer records, assist in collecting past-due accounts, and demonstrate products post-sale when necessary.
This position requires extensive travel, including overnight trips, and the use of a personal vehicle for business purposes. Graybar supports eligible drivers through a Fixed and Variable Rate (FAVR) reimbursement program, allowing you to choose your own vehicle and potentially build equity over time.
