The Outpatient RN CAP 1 is an entry-level designation within the Clinical Advancement Program (CAP), designed to launch your career in nephrology nursing. As a member of the End Stage Kidney Disease (ESKD) healthcare team, you will provide and coordinate clinically competent care for an assigned group of patients. This role involves assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation, with opportunities to delegate tasks to direct patient care staff and participate in decision-making, teaching, and quality improvement activities.
You will work in the South Milwaukee area, floating between clinics to support our patients. Your day-to-day involves performing systematic data collection and analysis before, during, and after hemodialysis treatments, adjusting treatment plans as needed, and ensuring safe and effective delivery of therapy. You will also serve as a resource for the healthcare team, assisting with staff training and orientation, while ensuring patients are aware of transplant and treatment modality options.
Candidates must have previous dialysis experience and be prepared to float between South Milwaukee area clinics. The role requires a minimum of 9 months of RN experience and 3 months of chronic/acute hemodialysis experience.
